NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS: WHY TAKE THEM WHEN I JUST FEEL FINE?Nutritional supplements are meant to be taken on a regular basis to obtain the most benefits over a long period of time. But, do you need them? If you are in this website, it is either you are already taking nutritional supplements and believe the benefits you can obtain from continuous use, or you are trying to figure out if you need them or not because you just feel fine. That’s how I used to feel until my brother was surprisingly diagnosed with nasal cancer. We may not be aware of it, but our bodies take some abusing from environmental factors and processed food that we consume, where in most cases are deficient in needed nutrients. Even a “balanced diet”, based on numerous national nutrition surveys conclude it is not well-balanced and have reported deficiencies of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, the B-Vitamins, Calcium, and Iron. Nine out of every ten diets are marginal in chromium and contain only one-half of the RDA for magnesium. It is also estimated that the average intake of folic acid is approximately one-half the adult RDA. Our lifestyle habits have now changed where some households may no longer have sit-down meals together, and the single-parent household now relies on convenience and has rearranged eating habits. Highly-processed foods and refined foods seem to have found a place in every household meal, which makes it more a reason for nutritional supplements to be taken. As a busy Mom, wife and career woman, I have been guilty of skipping meals, and then end up snacking on convenience foods or eating a larger meal at the end of the day. Even worse, I may try to diet which means consuming fewer calories that cannot guarantee daily recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals. According to Christopher Hobbs, L.Ac. and Elson Haas, M.D., authors of "Vitamin for Dummies", there are ten most common nutritional deficiencies and their possible signs of deficiency, enumerated as follows: |

Network Marketing vs Direct Sales and Money Game |
|
|
|
Many of us who make our living from this arena still debate what the difference between network marketing and direct sales is. Even so, the vast majority of experienced network marketers would define these terms this way.
Most experts would agree that network marketing is a part of the direct selling concept where products or services are offered on a one-on-one basis and sold directly by the salesperson to the consumer. However, the two approaches offer very different benefits to the salesperson.
Direct sales companies are known as "seller-based," which means they give more income to the distributor when he or she makes a sale at retail. Direct sales companies usually market higher-ticket, one-time-sale, durable items such as air and water filters, cookware, art, home accessories, etc. With the direct sales business approach, the majority of the available profit designated for the salesperson's commission goes to the person who makes the retail sale. That person usually earns a significantly higher percentage of the designated sale commission than does the sales management that may be supervising his or her work.(VS. Direct Sale) Unless they have been appointed as sales managers, successful direct sales people are paid based on their personal sales rather than on building an organization of other salespeople. And since most products marketed by direct selling companies tend to be durable goods rather than consumable goods, there usually is limited potential for residual income. Obviously, there are exceptions, such as the residual income experienced in insurance sales, but usually when the sale is consummated, the salesperson is moving on to the next person and potential sale. Immediate commission checks are usually higher than in network marketing, so if you want quick money, direct sales is your ticket.
If you want to build a long-term residual income, however, you should consider network marketing. Network marketing distributors still sell, but the sales process usually begins with their "warm" market of friends and relatives. Network marketing companies typically offer retail commissions that are much lower, since more of the available commissions are directed toward bonuses paid to various upline management people in the sponsor tree.

What is Network Marketing?
It is a relationship business; it is about helping people build a business or focusing on your customers for your products and services. Network Marketing really is an unseen business and it is all about sales.
It is businesses in which anyone can invest a small sum of money and through sheer tenacity achieve staggering levels of financial reward and personal freedom. But it requires education based on market tested results. Network Marketing does not have giant signs or large offices, yet according to the Direct Selling Association (DSA) over 13 million people in the U.S. are working in the network marketing / direct selling industry. The Network Marketing / MLM industry has a very shady reputation. Many of the people you will talk to feel it is a scam. Are they justified in this opinion? In many ways they are justified, but you can make a difference with the way you market your business. In the 1950's when Franchise’s first emerged they where labeled a scam, illegal etc. Fortunately a franchise is not labeled as such anymore or quite possibly you would not be enjoying your favorite hamburger today. Let’s look at the two types of business models that you could be involved in or approached with: Network marketing / Multi-level marketing (MLM) They usually offer reasonably priced products and services that people consume in a short time. Generally the commission structure is less up-front then the direct sales companies, but it has a benefit that most direct sales companies do not have and that is residual income. - It costs much less to get involved with this form of business, a few hundred dollars.
- Allows more people to become involved.
- Builds Residual Income.
- Leverages the time of others.
Network marketing is all about sales and distribution, but a different kind of sales. It’s more of a soft sale or recommendation then the hard closing type that you’re accustomed to with the typical salesman or saleswoman in the direct sales. The best approach by far in network marketing is a consultative sales approach. This is used very successfully today. |
